it's just really a round sonos play 1. they don't have that much wiggle room. for a speaker that small 360 sound is very important.

 

And still people over at the MacRumors forums are saying it was boring and there's nothing new.

 

All things considered, very good WWDC.

 

HomePod will be mine come December.

 

Sounds about like usual. Heh. I love going back and reading early iPhone/iPod posts from those forums. It's some great claim chowder.

i've got a mini 3 and love it but need more space; looks like the mini is dead, may be considering a Pro. but yea iOS 11 makes the mini perfect i think.

 

Work ordered my a Macbook Pro 15 inch space gray, we upgraded the RAM since i'm a developer. Apparently that is really slowing down the shipping. It's been a few weeks. I want it now, especially since we can fancy big new monitors for me.

 

Yeah it's a big ball of negativity at every WWDC. Those people just expect incredible new features that will change the whole world every year.

They're saying 349$ is way too expensive for the Homepod. They say it does the same thing as the 50$ Echo Dot.

 

I mean it's not far off. They need to look at it from a quality perspective.

 

not bad considering the CAD sucks right now.

 

They were expecting it to be the same price as AirPods.

 

Haha, so they've never tried to listen to music from the Dot. Hell, I listen on the bigger Echo and it's not very good. My mini UE speakers sitting next to it are way better. Just less convenient.

I'd expect more like the Sonos Play 5 in terms of sound quality.

 

They just totally disregarded the point that it's a Smart Speaker that actually sounds good.

 

I like how the homepod is surround sound. I'm going to plop that thing on my coffee table.

I don't get some of the tech "press" at all.

 

I wish the echo dot didn't sound like shit. Regular echo sounds good to me, though.

 

Those Mini UE speakers are so good.

 

Bought one a couple years ago based on Jason's recommendation and haven't felt the need to buy another one since then. The mini boom is ridiculously good for what it is and the price.

 

They almost always sound better than whatever clunky Bluetooth speakers my friends are using. Always impresses.

 

So much exciting stuff in the keynote. Between the HomePod, an iMac (not the Pro although it looks incredible), an iPad, Apple will probably be getting a lot of my money this year.

I'm really happy about that Magic Keyboard with a number pad too.

 

Came for new iMacs, and I'm pretty sure I've been sold a new iMac, but I want iOS 11 on my iPad and a HomePod *now*
