I've just grown up hearing and using the term loosely. I can absolutely see how it might be offensive to some, and won't say it anymore on here. Though I hardly ever use it anyone. But please feel free to block me if it bothered you that much. I won't care.

  2. I mean I'll ban users if they keep using it ... stop it.

The fact that many of you would say to just use a different app notwithstanding: Why can't I get my work email address (powered by exchange, accessible via outlook's web app) to work on the iPhone's mail app but I CAN get it to work on third party mail apps from the app store? I would prefer to just use the native iPhone mail app for my personal and work email addresses but it won't work and it's very frustrating. Any ideas?

I thought when I set this up my work had to approve and facilitate the sync of the account into my phone through VPN network. I tried and wasn't able to do it on my own.

I'm not stirring the pot, I just think the word has different contexts. Won't use it again, my freedom of speech has been suppressed.

    • Mod Warning: You do not have "freedom" of speech a private website.
  7. Your freedom of speech hasn't been suppressed... you can still use it. Just means you'll have consequences, just like everything else in life.

Anyone know of any services/apps that automatically create Apple Music playlists based on setlist from Setlist.fm? I know there a bunch that do it on Spotify. I just started playing around with creating one, but I don't want to waste the time if one already exists.

The alternative to snarky comments could be accepting what you said is wrong and not saying it again, nor try to defend it.

This is alway my favorite. The whole freedom of speech thing. You have the freedom to say whatever you want, but that doesn't mean freedom of criticism for saying it.

I know it's not an answer to your qu, but I would highly recommend trying the Outlook app for mail if you haven't done so. It's infinitely superior to Apple Mail and also to any other email app I've tried (that supports Exchange, at least). Lots of cool/useful features like focused and unfocused inboxes etc.

I'm successfully searching last fm, and then searching the song on iTunes. If I can figure out how to create or add to a playlist, I will have all the pieces working.

Assuming I can get everything linked up and working, the real question will be if I will get the motivation to polish it enough to actually publish haha.

You might also be willing to accept that not everyone shares the same views as you as to what is right or wrong. By definition, the word does not directly correlate to the mentally handicapped. But what do I know.

I think we've established that the rules here are that we don't say it. So it doesn't matter that some people view it as right or wrong.

nice of you to leave out the second definition in your google search.

I get that, and I complied seeing that some were offended. Then I came back today to find another mod warning for no necessary reason and 4 quotes.

It is not unnecessary. You have been told why using the r-word is offensive, but you respond by being snarky with a one word post of "lol" and saying you have no freedom of speech instead of merely apologizing, acknowledging that it's not acceptable on this site and you won't use it going forward. I'm not sure why you're going out of your way to continuously argue about something like this.

    "Informal" "offensive"

^ that's what you are going to use to justify what you said, okay. The other person who said it accepted it, said they wouldn't do it again and moved on.

Breaking out a dictionary entry that literally says "offensive" to defend the use of a word is a classic.
