Btw I've still kept all my cds and not that long ago reminisced about the hardships of using my discman with a daily re-burned CD-RW of all of my fresh downloads, as there was a time when I was afraid to call for a technician to help me fix my computer and I had to use it without sound for weeks ;u Most of my CDs are now back in rotation when I bring them to the car and I do find pleasure in mixing it up like that; keeping restrictions on what I can reach for on my trips and commute

 

Just found out that Spanish Love Songs are playing at the same venue I'm seeing Anthony at tomorrow so I'm gonna try to watch both sets, wish me luck.

I got the CD at his show but haven't had a chance to listen yet. I think that my PS5 can play CD's? That's the only thing I own that has a CD player of any kind. Gonna have to pop it in later today.

So kinda intersting, I guess the tour EP and that upcoming album have the same name, but the 6 songs on the EP from what I can tell aren't on the full length? Cool either way, more music for us!

Megadeath could be 2 minutes shorter and I think it would be improved.

Song gets a 2/10 from me. Can't remember the last time AG released something that was start to finish great. All (Saosin, solo releases, circa, LS Dunes) releases, for me, have been average at best since Descensus.

I’m viewing this more like a collection of b-sides and rarities (hence the title Doom. Spun.) as opposed to a traditional album with a lead single

 

I don't particularly hate it, but it's a very odd choice to start off with. Very doomy dreary

 

To further illustrate this, there are covers of Title Fight and Father John Misty songs on the tracklisting, a live version of a song, and a remix

 

i really like the song.

I do think this is being considered more of like an in-between album though. More a companion to Boom. Done. than a completely separate thing.

 

Read his post about the song, seems it's a very quick take, supposedly not much has been spent on it - just got somewhere to track it on the road between his tour dates, featuring vocals from fans attending the shows, and it's a remake of an electronic tune he had made before

 

Semi-unrelated: but if anyone has a decent rip of the CD he had on tour I'd appreciate being sent in the right direction. It seems most of it isn't on the Doom. Spun. going out to streaming and such and I'm really curious about how the I Don't Wanna Die with strings and Frozen Creek renditions sound. Also his version of the Skrillex song he was on seems interesting.

 

Just read his post on Instagram. Really neat that he recorded the song in Philly with fans. I presume it was before the show, perhaps during the VIP session. If so, wish I had purchased a ticket for that then!
