I'm really glad he started using his falsetto a ton over the last few years. It's always so good.

 

As always with anything Anthony-related, this is real good.

 

The record release show was fantastic and I finally got to meet and talk with Anthony and I am still trying to regain my original form after melting from the conversation

 

What was the set like? How much of the new album did he play?

Oh my god that's a perfect setlist

 

He got someone to play trumpet for the new songs too, which was a nice treat. He also had someone named Josh accompany them for keys on all the songs.

 

Feel like this took forever to come out, and it's exceeding my expectations.

 

I think center of it all is my favorite thing he’s written. Just a perfect song.

 

Trading Doses is the one for me today. That "I'll be gone" bridge is just so good.

Whole album is fire

 

Fucks Me Up gives me Radiohead vibes. I keep saying this. OK Computer vibes.. The instruments might be why but it feels like Paranoid Android at first.

 

I can't wait for the eventual classical reimagining of this album titled Boom. Strings.

 

Love it so much! Listened solely to that album the whole weekend with an exception to check some other new ones out, but Boom. Done. is on REPEAT ;d Also, Trading Doses is so grasping, amazing chorus and it happens only once in the song! MTWBTO might still be my fav, but there's so much goodness!

I don’t use this word often to describe music releases anymore, but this is a phenomenal album. I love him.

this might be my favorite thing anthony has done.

 

I've never really given his earlier solo stuff a fair shake, but Don't Dance, Trading Doses, and Pleasure are fire here.

Now please, at least a single from Saosin before year's end.

The more I think about realistic release schedules, it seems like we may only get an LSDunes or Fuckin Whatever or Sawce collab single or two for the rest of this year. There's no way those Saosin and TSOAF records are coming this year.

 

What are the Sawce collabs? Well, I don't mind, this solo record is so amazing, new Circa suits me well too, I can wait for some more stuff, though I am excited for LSDunes to show up with whatever they have and I can't say no to a prospect of hearing any new TSOAF recordings, which I'm constantly led to believe already exist in some capacity.

 

He's got a record in the works with this NJ math rock band Sawce. My understanding is that many of the songs on Boom. Done were developed/worked on/demoed with this band during the pandemic and we will most likely be getting alternate versions of some of those songs on the Sawce record.
