Yeah. I meant that after the owner gives the first code, the turnip seller would be responsible for passing on the code to the next person in line. Obviously the chain would break at some point but I think we’re civil enough here to pass on the code after someone was nice enough to give it to us.

Villagers adopting other villager's catchphrases without asking you is one of the dumbest mechanics in this game. I set them that way to personalize the interaction with that certain villager. I don't want the others to say it too...

 

tbh i don't even know. there's a certain point where you don't even need more (like right now) but it's great not to have to think about money, and just spend your day doing random shit.

they do that? all the time that happened to me they asked for permission first. 3 other villagers now call me Vitamin Z

also i think you can reset their language/preferences if you complain to Isabelle. idk if nicknames are affected

 

Yeah they always ask me if they can call me the nickname that others do. But they are adopting catchphrases without asking. Now my Octopus says QuackQuack at the end of his sentences. I reset it, but that means he loses the nickname that I really liked too.

Last week Kidd asked if he could start calling me "Platinum" and I said sure. Now every villager on the island is calling me Platinum, anybody else have a dumb nickname they are calling you haha
