I hope so, but even that seems too soon for Tom haha.

Unless he is coordinating this perfectly around blink's album announcement...

 

So far, he's posted 9 pictures over the course of 14 or 15 days for each album, and just moved on to Love today. If he combines Love and Love pt 2, then does Dreamwalker and skips the EPs, it'll land around that mid-April timeframe. If he includes Love pt2 and the EPs separately, it'll be a month or so later.

 

We'll see...

Revisiting their discography this morning and I am getting hyped for some new music, even if it ends up only being an EP. Tom is just really good at writing catchy melodies and hooks.

 

As much as Tom has continued to rehash the same progressions and riffs (especially with AVA) I still find myself loving it. I truly hope that we see more of a progression that we did on The Dream Walker.

 

So is matt back in the band or no?

 

They might make him a touring member, but I have a feeling Tom will just record his parts then credit him in the liner notes.

 

Honestly, if he does that...that's super cool of Tom to do.

 

Getting excited for some new AVA jams this summer/fall. I'm sure they will do shows, just possibly not a whole tour. Hopefully there is a show on the east coast

Right. Tom could knock up a quick drum track and put a riff on it in 5 minutes just for the sake of it but "outsiders" getting involved suggests something might actually be going down this year.

 

Yep I definitely agree.

Him working with a producer and not just self producing is encouraging and surprising. He was very “anti-producer” for both LOVE albums, Neighborhoods, and all the other shit he’s released since then.

I’m still in the boat of thinking this is one of those slapped together 5 song EP’s called Strange Times to coincide whatever book, comic, mug, or bundle he’s releasing. I want to be wrong and I want him to put a legit effort into making music ... not just meeting up with the Rubin’s s few times and slapping something together to sell a book.

 

Well they posted Of Nightmares... and Chasing Shadows on their instagram story yesterday and today, so it looks like I was a few days early on my prediction.

 

Still pretty close to your prediction! The announcement has to be this week.
