What was the turnout like? Close to a sellout?

 

how did you like Bad Suns?

 

There was a decent crowd, but I don't think it was close to being sold out. I had like 6 feet around me most of the time.

Their bass lines were cool. That's about all I took away from them haha. I only knew like 2 of their songs though.

 

I love Tom.

"Tomorrow could be the best of your life"

- He said it many times, but that one really stuck with me after all this time when he wrote me back many years ago in a PM after I just lost my Grandma and Uncle within a month of each other. At the time, the only thing that made me feel better was listening to 'A Little's Enough' on repeat. I basically wrote him a thank you and he actually responded back.

 

That's one of many reasons why Tom is the best. Got me emotional over here!

 

Apparently Euphoria will be in the NHL 22 soundtrack

Reminds me of the time Tom said Love Pt. 1 was the most downloaded album of all time the day it released on Modlife with like 100,000,000 downloads

 

Then U2 shoehorned their album into everyone’s music libraries lol

 

Goes to show just how massive streaming is now. The #3 best selling physical album of the week only made it to #36 on the overall chart.

Side note, I finally got my vinyl in the mail and this thing is pretty gorgeous! Got the Black/Orange/Olive variant that was limited to 300. Pretty cool that they sent an extra sleeve for the signed copy. Cant decide if I want to toss out the space wrapping or not lol

AVC: What was it like to film Monsters In California with Tom DeLonge being a first-time director?

RK: He is the kind of guy that you wish you could be. It’s as if there were no problems in the world. He’s just a positive figure, and he’s so intrigued by aliens, and he has these stories. And as an actor, I’m studying lines, or I’m trying to get into the mood, or get into character, or stay in this scene. I can talk around and fool around, but Tom, he was so funny. We’d be doing a scene and he’d go, “Dude! Dude! Yea, so I’m at the Pentagon, and I’m talking about…” and I’d go “Tom! I’m trying to concentrate on the scene.” And he would just be giving me these great stories, and you know, going out to dinner that’s one thing—give me the stories—but we were working.

His energy is 110%. He’s a cheerleader. He is so positive, and very receptive to if you wanted to change the script. He wasn’t married to anything, and as a writer his ideas were good as far as story and stuff, but he didn’t exactly have the dialogue locked in. It was a little clunky, and as an actor I helped him out, ’cause I used to write, you know certainly during Second City. So I put it into a vernacular that was a little more palatable, and it told the story, I think, a little clearer. He’s a lovely man, and the guy I have nothing in common with. He’s a skateboarder and a rocker. I went nowhere near that stuff. He was a lovely guy, very very nice, and I hope the movie’s good. I think it is.

 

I just imagine these Pentagon visits as these super serious meetings and then Tom breaks the silence with like
"imagine if that aircraft looked like a penis"

 

Can't believe some of you don't like Spellbound, that song is such a vibe!

 

Only song I don’t really like is A Fire In A Nameless Town. I know people don’t like No More Guns and while I agree it’s one of the weaker tracks I don’t mind it.
