Happy he put a statement out, but still taking everything with grains of salt. It is a shame that ETID went away so quickly with no farewell tour etc. Jordan is such an underrated guitar player, and Keith is such an underrated lyricist and vocalist.

My sincere hope and protentional upside from this is that the 4 from ETID start something with Josh Scogin. That's the only lyricist and vocalist that would make sense for them, and someone who could fill Keith's shoes (in the sense of replacing someone great with someone else great). As far as Keith's future, I honestly don't think The Damned Things is very good musically, but at this point I'll take whatever and wherever Keith is still writing and singing.

I was also trying to think who would fill that slot. I definitely don't get the hype behind Spiritbox, so all the calls for them to have a longer set is very "please, let's not" to me Haha I would be fine with TDWP, but would prefer La Dispute / someone who's not so specifically another metalcore act.

Right!? They're one of the few bands, in general (not just in the scene), who I felt like just kept leveling up, album after album.

    Motel. Money. Murder. Madness.

Oh man, as a complete casual, when all but one member of a band quit (especially all at once), there’s usually a core issue going on with that remaining member. It’s typically because that person has a substance problem or they’re an unworldly dick, or a combination of the two. It sounds like it’s actually the complete opposite here, he sobered up and wanted ‘peace and love’ but his new ‘clarity’ wore on those around him. He’s obviously someone that throws himself completely into whatever he’s doing. This being no exception.

    i get it.

"The firm political stance I took on Radical became an insurmountable point of contention between Jordan and I"

    That's very telling.

When I first heard "Planet Shit", I wondered how well it would go over. Jordan's wife is/was die hard MAGA.

Yeah, I was trying to not spell it out completely but the truth is, when you support white supremacy on social media, it's fair game to be called out for it publicly.

Yes, she is very deep down the QAnon hole. We're talking "deep state pedophiles" and "I saw a cloud shaped like Trump so God must be watching over him" shit.

That information, combined with Keith's comment in this statement, paints a clear picture for me.

I’m so down for Scogin to play with those guys. That would be ridiculous. And the idea of so many insane guests from Norma Jean/TheChariot/‘68/so many other friends. That would be so good!
