I find it hard to choose, all three of them are great. I'd probably go self-titled>Upside Down Flowers>>Zombies on Broadway.

Zombies on Broadway is probably the only music from Andrew McMahon that i actually don't like.

like, i tried to listen through to as much of the album i could and i just.... straight up don't like it. the production is just so unenjoyable for me

Upside Down Flowers, definitely. I love all three, but that one is a masterpiece, imo.

That said, “Maps for the Getaway” is probably my favorite Wilderness song.

I really enjoy all 3 as well. Though it did take me a minute to get into Zombies , but seeing those songs live helped me appreciate them more and got me into the full album.

I said said this to a buddy of mine the other day, actually.

S\T has the best individual songs.
    Zombies has the catchiest songs.
Flowers is the best overall album.

Zombies took some getting used to, but I think I like it more in retrospect knowing that it was his big pop swing and he didn’t really continue down that road. Also, “Birthday Song” is so great.

Upside Down Flowers, for me. It reminded me a lot of the old SoCo days and whenever I listen, I have a rush of nostalgia back to my teenage days and things like Bamboozle and Warped.

I was into S/T when it came out. I remember being so excited with the direction he went with it.

But Upside Down Flowers is something special.

Also, Andrew’s shaved head takes me back to early Jack’s Mannequin days. I know he had just gotten over being sick at the time but I thought he pulled off the buzzed head. He still does.

I love all 3, but self-titled has my least favorite Wilderness song, See Her On the Weekend.

Zombies has my favorite Wilderness song, Love and Great Buildings.

Overall though, I think Flowers has to be my favorite. It just has that extra little something.

I agree so much with this post. Love and Great Buildings isn’t necessarily my favorite Wilderness song, but it’s in the conversation and definitely my favorite on that album

I just never got past the vocal effects on UDF, they still really bring the album down for me.

I'm listening to Zombies On Broadway this morning. Admittedly, I've never really listened to this album. 8 songs in and its pretty rad. It's basically s/t but ramped up and more defined. He nailed the direction.

I fucking love ZoB and I feel it’s the best of the wilderness records. Don’t @ me.
