Cities is definitely one of my favorites. I want to have part of the Alexithymia chorus tattooed on me somewhere. Still working that out. Honestly, they really didn't do anything bad. It's all good music.

 

yeah exactly. Cities is enjoyable all the way through without an ounce of filler, the other albums run into those issues at least once.

Btw for you super Anberlin fans this person on SputnikMusic ranked every Anberlin song with descriptions and its definitely cool. I'd like to do that with a band I love one day, maybe Motion City Soundtrack or Thursday

I had most bands ranked by song in my old iTunes and I've been working on redoing it since my laptop broke and I lost all my stuff. I get way into doing that stuff, ha.

 

Also I disagree with so much on that Anberlin list. At least he got number 1 right.

 

yeah i love the idea of doing that. i might do it with Thursday since their discography is done and theyre dont releasing albums anymore. Might also do it with MCR. We can compare notes haha

yeah some of that list is kind of iffy but i agree with the top 5

Pretty cool list. No way "God, Drugs, and Sex" is a top 10 Anberlin song (or even an above average Anberlin song). I personally wouldn't put "Miserable Visu" or "Unwinding Cable Car" in the top 10 either but those are less offensive.

 

I've already got MCR done and a decent amount of MCS too, ha.

 

Curious how ours will compare

 

GD&S is absolutely one of their better songs imo. Probably not top 10 but at least top 20. Miserable Vesu might not even make my top 50, I hate that song. Cable Car is an easy top 5 song.

 

At This Velocity needs to be in the top 5 after that i can agree with anything

 

im not sure how id do MCR. i know Hang Em High is #1 but after that idk

 

My top six MCR is also my top six songs in general, ha. Hang Em High is number 5 for me.

GD&S is the one closer that I didn't like much at all. I normally just pretend the album ends with "Modern Age" (which would have been a great closer IMO).

Cable Car is incredible, but *fin, Dismantle.Repair, and Godspeed are definitely my top 3 from Cities.
