Here's some really dark glitchy ambient for you. I'm personally really pumped for this record

Yeah, this is the best ambient stuff I've heard in a while. Just in time for the season when I crave it most, too.

Destroyer isn't ambient at all really but Kaputt is an incredible album.

Its a very unique sound, almost menacing at times if that makes sense. I havent checked out much of dark ambient like this because it usually turns me off, but this artist plays with distortion in a very surreal and hypnotizing way. Glad you like it!

In a totally different direction, im so pumped for the new kaitlyn aurelia smith. The new songs are so good

I may have to check it out too. Not much a fan of the dark stuff either but surreal and hypnotizing sounds good!

I'm listening to that one later today too

I'm like you - that dark ambient is not really my favorite thing, but there are exceptions like Deathprod's Morals and Dogma

It's creepy stuff-- definitely difficult to listen to at times but easy to appreciate.

Anybody listen to that new Crys Cole + Oren Ambarchi album? It's out but only one song is on streaming

Never heard of that guy but I'll check it out. Speaking of Rafael's...this album is a must-listen. Really sinks into you. Whole thing is on streaming but not on bandcamp for some reason

I've been slowly going through Windy & Carl's discography this week. What are some other good guitar based ambient/drone artists?

Love me some Windy & Carl. The record i posted above is rly good. Jefre Cantu-Ladesma is a fav. I wish i knew more guitar based ambient/drone- my go to's are usually Stars of the Lid, Dead Texan, Hammock and stuff like that.

Not quite ambient, but I'm sure you all would enjoy this. I recommend checking out this entire album. One of my faves back when I used to listen to neoclassical all the time. Revisiting this today was a great idea

Kyle Bobby Dunn and the Infinite Sadness.

    Immense album.

Stars of the Lid worship done by a dude and his guitar.

happy you enjoyed it! it's one of my all time favorites

the sample of children playing at the end of the first song is one of my favorite moments in music

That tripped me out last night. Was high as hell and thought I lost my mind for a second. Had to rewind and make sure it was part of the song.
