I mean Ridley did say it was fucking great. Maybe they’re literally just re-releasing the first one disguised as a new movie

 

That's the plot of every Alien movie lol I'm sure there are some juicier details we aren't privy to, very excited for this

 

Also still no confirmation on the title. I wonder if it actually will end up being Romulus or not

all that's been revealed is that it takes place between the original and Aliens

 

I'm a bit cynical about Fede these days but that looks good

 

Spoilering in case folks don't want to watch the trailer.

I've always found the facehuggers to be scarier than the full Xenomorph, so the idea of them crawling around en masse and jumping on people at random is right up my alley.

 

What's there to be cynical about?

 

The shot of the facehugger's tube is sooooo gross.

 

just the whole concept and direction of Don't Breathe 2 is so weird and gross to me, I can't believe anyone let that get to release stage. also I remember reading something about him treating people badly on set, could just be rumours though

 

Don't Breathe 2 is a weird one for sure, but I don't think you need to sympathize with THAT character for him to be the film's subject, and beyond that, I really think the adopted daughter is the protagonist, not Lang's character. Once I started watching through that lens, I actually liked the film quite a bit.

All I can find is quotes from him saying not to let the actors get too comfortable or relaxed on set, which kind of sucks, but it's also how we got the original chestburster scene in Alien, so...idk. Would definitely be a bummer if he was abusive at all.

 

fair enough, I haven't actually seen DB2 I just thought the idea sounded repulsive on paper lol

 

Should’ve been made so that the butter leaks out of the mouth. It would be a huge mess, but funny in my mind.
