This is pretty cool. Shoegaze/Emo with kind of a Deftones kind of feel

I was hoping this would somewhat reference their Invisible Stars album opener Tiger in a Burning Tree, & it definitely sounds like there's something to the bridge alluding to it. That album is criminally underrated, I wish they'd play off it live

If you slept on Youth Fountain - Keepsakes & Reminders, this is a good time to wake up. The two new tracks are very good, but I feel like more should have been done to make this a "Deluxe Edition." At least a few acoustic renditions or something. That being said, this was my AOTY 2021, so I'm gonna be spinning it a bunch anyway.

Will also check out Magnolia Park (chatted with the lead singer in December and he was chill af), and Dayseeker people keep saying is good so I'll give that a listen too.

I'll second @robhoelscher with Ef, amazing Swedish post rock band coming back after a few years of radio silence. FFO: Explosions in the Sky, Mogwai, Sigur Rós etc. (but also more closely Immanu El, Cult of Luna (but much lighter), Jeniferever, all the Swedish awesome sounding bands hahh)

    In regards to genre tags:

That is really at the discretion of the person posting their list/recommendations. It can be very time consuming and exhausting. I do it with mine but I don’t expect anyone else to do it. If anything, it’s a fun way to discover new music.

Huuuuuge Ultraman fan, so of course I'm going to listen to Vovoid's EP.

Also, I've never listened to Vovoid before, so...

EDIT: Three minutes later, and....it's done? Meh.

I've also already managed to listen to that another batch of Neil Young covers by Jeff Rosenstock and Laura Stevenson, Sigrid's expanded special edition of "How To Let Go", OTIP demos by The Menzingers. "We Salute You, You & You!" by Ef was the biggest release fore me for sure, had anticipated it a lot! I'm left with Turnover and Fleshwater for later, and now also Overhead, the Albatross EP thanks to this thread (I thought about them recently by the way)

    hmmm

The new Daniel Avery album is great. I'll stop short of genre tagging this thing but it's spacey and thick, kinda gothic, a bit too attention grabbing to be called ambient but a lot of ambient feels.
