    HIPV isn't a single, it's a 3 song EP.

The new Cartel song is so good. Will Pugh has such a killer voice.

If anyone likes Northstar - Pollyanna, Nick Torres released a new version of Pollyanna (the song) under Cassino.

  6. It actually is just a single, but they're doing the popular release method of tacking previous singles onto the release of the new single. If you look back at the second single, you'll see that the first single was included as the second track, and now both of those singles are included with the third.

It drives me crazy, too! And it's a common point of confusion, @Brent , especially when bands aren't being very up-front with when to expect the final product or whether that final product is an EP or album.

Like, I went to HIPV's socials first, to make sure I was correct about this, and while I was able to confirm that this is just a third single, I wasn't able to quickly confirm whether a full-length was on the way or not.

I've definitely had instances with other artists where I listened to a collection of 5 or 6 singles, thinking that it was certainly a full EP, only to be surprised (but slightly annoyed?) by the appearance of a full album a few weeks later.

EDIT: HIPV confirmed a few minutes ago that they're building up toward an EP titled Tantrums.

Senses Fail! Buddy needs to stop writing about his daughter! Bringing a guy to tears while trying to work! Great album. Everything I loved about their last is here too! Heavy lyrically, but so good!

    Gleemer is also great.

For all of Apple Music's flaws (of which there are many), I do prefer the way they handle singles for confirmed albums/EPs - add the album/EP to your library and the tracks are "filled in" as they are released (The 1975, for example). It's rare that I see the tacking on singles to create "EPs" thing, but that is also the case with HIPV in Apple Music. So weird/annoying.

All about Gleemer for me. Been on repeat since it dropped yesterday. Band can do no wrong.

Hoping to get to Beabadoobee and Interpol as well.

  14. Yes! This is so preferable and so helpful. Hard to pull off for artists who are releasing singles earlier than having the final tracklisting of an album finalized or who are releasing a first single prior to an album announcement, like we saw recently with Architects.

And then there's situations like Senses Fail -- I had no idea that they were dropping a new album today. I thought the recent EP was a standalone project, so I only learned this morning that the EP was actually a teaser for an LP.

So many little details and annoyances that keep me on my trajectory toward becoming a crotchety old man ranting about how CDs used to release on Tuesdays...

People have mentioned Suicide Machines single. Since my copy of the Suicide Machines/Coquettish EP Gebo Gomi vinyl showed up a week early (What?!?!?) I’m gonna spin that all day!

j-hope's album has been on repeat since last night. If you would have told me a year ago that I'd like this type of music, I probably wouldn't have believed you. Lyrics gave me goosebumps a few times, so good.
