TDB, White Crosses, and New Wave are top 3 for me with SSWM not far behind. Probably Clarity after that?

 

Yeah the early stuff is good but definitely hasn't aged well. Both of their first two albums have 3-4 tracks I still really enjoy though.

You are the best. Former Clarity is my favourite AM! record tying with TDB.

TDB / SFAFC > New Wave/SSWM > White Crosses > Reinventing AXL Rose > Eternal Cowboy

 

What are some people's favorite AM! songs? (maybe we can avoid album ranking lol)

 

Reading Lauras book, and I'm up to them signing with Sire. Really interesting how much shit they went through during Former Clarity. Fat Mike hating the production, the producer hating the songs, the band disliking her for a while, and everyone in the band but her seemingly not liking the record.

Insane as I think it's their best and I wish they actually played some of it live just once when I see them. I've only heard Don't Lose Touch, and I really want to hear Miami, Joy and Pretty Girls.

Definitely! AM always has the best openers and I've been hoping to see them for awhile now.

 

On the subject of this album, it never clicked whatsoever, which is pretty disappointing. I've come back every couple months or so hoping I'll catch something new, but no dice. I'm probably in the vast minority in that I didn't latch onto TDB much either, but I liked it more than this one.

 

Fuck, I forgot about White People for Peace and Because Of The Shame... This band is so loaded with great songs.

 

bamboo bones is my fav am song and probably also the best song ever

I was unable to see them play this last Saturday, but what a setlist! I would kill to hear "Bamboo Bones" live. Haven't yet :( I need to do a discography-run w/ AM! here soon. Been too long.

Now that RF is over I get to focus all my energy on this savage tour.

 

Saw the show last week. It was awesome, as expected. Everyone here should go when they hit your city.

 

Not only is Against Me! destroying it night after night on this tour but the openers, The Dirty Nil and Bleached, are both ridiculously good so definitely get there to catch them. I went to all five shows in California last week and every night was the best kind of chaotic fun. Can't wait to see the end of tour at Fest with that RAR set, everyone is going to lose their minds.
