the logo typeface isn't my favorite. was a big fan of the return to A FIRE INSIDE for all the burials live stuff

anyways i'm excited, album should be cool

 

Haven't heard the new songs yet, but I was thinking the other day how much I love this band. I need to revisit some of their stuff. Black Sails in criminally underrated.

 

These new songs are so good. Sounds like a return to form!

 

I wonder what kind of touring they might do for the release of this. I've never seen them live but also don't know that they will really play to tour much or anywhere near me

 

I'd also like to see them again. Deep cuts!

 

Wester and Over Exposure getting played a lot on the Burials tour makes me optimistic about what deep cuts they'll bust out this time around.

 

They played 6 to 8 in Buffalo when I saw them too!

 

Not totally in love with either of the new songs, but I Hope You Suffer was one of my least favorite on Burials so I'm not too worried

Also, their only albums that I don't love are Very Proud of Ya and Answer That

 

I love Answer That. I don't remember many songs from VPOY though.

 

Very Proud of Ya has a lot of good tracks. He Who Laughs Last, File 13, This Secret Ninja, Theory of Revolution, Aspirin Free and Advances in Modern Technology are some of my favorites. That's when their lyrics starter to get darker but they were still pretty angsty and immature. Fun listen, though.

 

VPOY is a classic. ever record is great except CL. StS> shut your mouth > black sails > Art > DU > Burials> Proud > Answer >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>CL

 

I tried to order the blue vinyl but couldn't. Either sold out or there's an issue with the store. Anyone have any luck?

 

These new songs plus Halloween got me listening to afi all weekend long

The 20 minute sample of the album is amazing.

 

Yeah I haven't heard Burials or CL. Just the singles, but I remeber really enjoying Medicate. Esp as a radio single at least.

so, im really starting to get into this band and dig a lot of their material. i havent touched any of the albums pre Black Sails In The Sunset, are they worth checking out?

Also, any b-sides i need to look around for?

 

Check out the b-sides to Decemberunderground and Crash Love!

 

I enjoy the stuff pre Black Sails. It's more punk/hardcore punk sounding.
