The Blood Album grew on me over some time. Some good songs on here. I think its their best since December Undgerground....Maybe even Sing The Sorrow.

Nothing will ever beat Black Sails and Art of Drowning though.

 

Love the new video, songs been stuck in my head since. I think I need to give this album some more spins.

 

Gave this album my first listen in months, much better than I remembered. Don't know if I just never gave it a proper listen or what but I'm glad I set out some time today to listen to this

 

Seeing these tomorrow. Looking forward to it.

 

Very much enjoy this still. More-so than Burials or CL which I also enjoy quite a bit to give you all some "Kens thoughts on AFI discography" context haha. It's got flashes of the more goth centric material mixed with some alt rock and I like that a lot

 

Didn't get the negative reception for this album at all. It's pretty much the most old school stuff they put out in a long time.

 

tour reminded me to revisit this and i still quite enjoy it, but ive just accepted im probably going to enjoy anything AFI puts out at this point. i just love what they do

 

I'm gonna try to see them in a couple weeks in Providence. From some friend's pictures this tour look so great, anybody see it yet? How's their set?

 

Changes every night, pretty much. Ton of deep cuts and old alongside the usual stuff. Also, they sound fantastic.

Initially, I was disappointed with the album because of the low quality leak and not completely following in the direction of Burials. Blood album is a collection of throwback to STS era, and they have really grown on me. It's a solid addition to their discography. They had a healthy mix of material from Black Sails to the Blood album. The crowd responded well to the new songs especially Snow Cats.

There was a bit of a problem during I Hope You Suffer, though. When Davey tried coming out into the crowd, there was a bad injury and they had to stop mid-song.

 

Haven't felt much desire to return to this album. Listened to it recently and felt mostly indifferent.

 

It's far from a favorite, but definitely better than the two before it, so I can't complain

 

Killing time waiting for the new MO to come out and loved DU and StS so put this on...i’m on track 5....does this stop sucking at some point?

i just randomly watched some of their music videos from sing the sorrow and decemberunderground. man, i really miss that time. the music scene was so strong back then. i'll always be an emo kid at heart. haha

 

Supposedly. When the Missing Man EP was released, the press release mentioned a new album out in 2019. Nothing else has been said about it since.

Hah totally. I got Sing the Sorrow and Three Cheers in, so I feel accomplished in both regards!

 

Went for the All Hallows EP today. I rarely go back to that one aside from this time of year, but I love it. So nostalgic.
