Wrecked 'em? Damn near killed 'em!

The solo is impressive, but that’s kinda it for me.

    random StS thought

remember watching the Silver and Cold video and thinking it was sick that Jade was wearing a Bathory jacket

The band put up an anniversary package for sing the sorrow. T shirt, drawstring bag, and poster for $60. Was hoping for vinyl...

  4. Was also hoping for a vinyl repress. I would really love to own that album.

An old buddy of mine had a vinyl copy of StS and it sounded so good on vinyl. Would love to get my hands on a copy as well.

Every time I hear it it always reminds me of original Terminator movie a little bit. The score I mean, not the actual movie haha

I'm revisiting StS right now, and yeah, it's still great. The underlying guitar melody in the final chorus of Silver and Cold adds so much to that song. About to get into the Dancing Through Sunday solo.

The intro for Screaming Bloody Murder has massive Terminator vibes too!

Okay, my last post singing this album's praises but for real, this album was one of those rare cases where a band was able to balance between mainstream accessibility/big production and raw energy/song structures that could satisfy their "underground" fanbase (for lack of a better term).

Went to put Sing The Sorrow on the other day and the album isn't on Apple Music. I couldn't believe it how is that a thing?

Ohhh that’s very unfortunate. YouTube maybe?

Yeah it’s just annoying when putting on a playlist on at work. YouTube is battery overkill and the adverts suck.

Hopefully they fix it soon must be a label issue.

I’m here to say that I think Crash Love is a good album, especially when you count the bonus tracks.

I really dig the guitar work on it. Jade deserves more acclaim.

Agreed! I really like the song writing on the whole thing, for an album where they abandoned their heavy/punk sound. So glad I got to see them tour that album.

    No Fun. Not Ever.

Compared to their last two records, I completely agree.

I still haven’t listened to the newest one, but I dug Burials quite a bit.

I need to revisit that album. I listened to it couple times when it initially came out and it bored me to death, and I haven't listened since. Maybe it'll be a different experience now that I'm older. One thing I thought was excessive/annoying about that album was how often Davey went "OHH!".

But if there's one thing that's been consistent though with every AFI record since Sing the Sorrow, it's that Jade's guitar work gets better and better.

Haha I think he does do that in almost every song.

Davey's "OHH!" in the last chorus of Beautiful Thieves though always makes me happy :-)
