Same here. I am not proud of how I acted on there. But meeting up with people at the in this diary video shoot and capital milling concert was awesome.

Also, I remember there was a post for female fans to show their partially covered boobs while dudes commented on them. Peak early 2000s emo fan status.

Also, if you don’t happen to know what the mod for the Ataris message board later went to prison for…… Brighton Resident Sentenced On Child Enticement Charge

It’s still wild to me that Justin Sane fled the country, like of all the moves I expected from him that wasn’t it.

I liked the Red Album. Five stars is a little nutty though.

I was annoying on AP in my teens and I was annoying on here in my 20s. I'm glad all my AP cringe in BN thread is gone.

@Aaron Mook doesn’t like Mike Flanagan. Enough said about his posting history.

I'm softening on him. I'd probably use the phrase overrated at this point. I liked Hush and Gerald's Game!

For some reason this picture is so uncanny. I always thought I'd never understand why an artist as big as her married a sex offender. But I guess she also has dubious morals as well. SO disappointing from one of the biggest rappers, not just female rappers, of the modern age.

oh god I didn’t know that. I don’t remember the boob thread either but I’m not surprised. I was like 14-16 so must have stuck heavily to the music section, tho I do remember that being the first place I heard hype for Obama (would have been probably like 2005 with people saying they had hopes he could run by 2012 or 16). Wild stuff

When I started actively posting more on AP when I was like 14 I used to wonder if people were making fun of my posts in the prestigious forum

AP and this site introduced me to leftist politics, which certainly played a role in me leaving the cult I was raised in. So I guess I do owe Jason a thank you.

    Someday I’ll find me Prestigious

I haven't made a post on here in over 3 years, and I'm late to the conversation on that Reddit post from late last week about @Jason Tate (you handled yourself really well in your response).

I know I've grown a lot in the past few years, and that discussion about the community as a whole in the Reddit thread didn't feel like it was a genuine depiction of the community here, and the discussion of it here was wholesome in comparison. I left this forum a few years ago, I think, because I was probably pissy and offended because someone blocked me (that's the only context I can really see).

I've been trying to go back and rediscover a love for music that's been missing for me. I've been deconstructing pretty hard from my faith (week before Christmas I told the leadership of the church that I work at that I'm wanting to get out of ministry), and a lot of how I carried myself here was in denial of the bigger questions I was asking myself.

This seemed like as good a thread as any to step back into the discussion. Accountability in music was a catalyst for me to question how I engaged with the art, the artist, and other listeners. I don't know if this is word salad or not, or if anyone cares at all, but I always felt like I was learning some difficult life lessons alongside many of the usernames here in this thread and around this forum, and for that, I'm really grateful. I've been in some part of this community since like 2007, and that's wild to me.
