I hope someone puts this thread in a museum someday as a crystalline showcase of scene neuroses

This is basically what we're experiencing in the US political climate and it's fucking terrifying/depressing. There are no consequences for being a horrific piece of shit as long as you have enough money and pander to the ignorant.

The lack of oversight on this money is disgusting. Not that I needed another reason to never listen to or support these dudes again, but glad to know they showed who they really are here. Life-changing money for 99% of people getting pocketed with zero consequences by assholes who haven't needed it in decades. USA, USA

It seems like maybe 5-10% of relief funds maybe weren't all just part of a huge grift. I mean the lady who runs the Mueller She Wrote podcast grifted something like 100k + for "podcast overhead" which I can't even imagine what that could be considering you just talk into a laptop for 2 hours a week.

I think it's probably higher that wasn't a grift but I think the real problem is that so many of these jobs are just vibes.

And that's why you always leave a note.

Was just checking, cus I remember reading this when it came out. Didn't know if there was another development on that and it was happening again. Awful, nonetheless. Just making sure I wasn't missing something.

it's definitely interesting, and does come down to specifics we will never know... but if everyone was consenting adults, then those consenting adults are absolutely allowed to do all the crazy things they did that night and they absolutely are allowed to have fun doing it. But again, all being said, if anyone was pressured to participate, then that is the line. Lizzo is saying that everyone had a choice and chose to consent to the party activities, but the truth of that sounds to be in question.

  18. Well yeah, it just feels like a red flag to me and makes me think about how I would respond if the accusation was, say, a hookup. One party saying it was consensual and fun while another (featuring multiple people) claim the opposite. Seems to me like your boss should probably never ask you to eat a piece of fruit that has literally been inside of someone, especially if they're a huge pop-star, because it's hard for me to imagine a world where peer pressure isn't involved

absolutely, I think in the end this situation isn't good, but I also think that there are plenty of wild parties like this that ARE ok, but this one specifically feels like lines crossed.

Yeah any one would feel pressured in that case. How could you not?
