Thank you for posting this. My wife is Japanese and my kids are half Japanese and this would be an interesting article for me to educate myself with

 

Just to add to everything that’s been said, artists like Jonny Craig or Ronnie Radke or Lil Uzi Vert, etc. etc. - none of those potential threads on them are ones I would visit. But I think it’s good to keep up on what’s happening, especially if it’s bands or artists I respect that are collaborating or performing with them. Because if I rely on Twitter, it will be a bunch of fanboys batting the news down, saying “Innocent until proven guilty,” “Move on!” etc.

 

Not much else to add other than I saw someone mention this thread outside of this site in reference to where is a good place to keep up to date with accountability issues in this scene, so i think it’s good that the thread is held to a certain standard because I rely on it in a way and so do others, I do agree there’s stuff that’s not really meant to be posted here but it doesn’t impact my use of the thread much because if I feel it doesn’t belong I can usely just scroll past in most cases

 

This is my feeling on this thread [and many other things in life]. Nothing is perfect. Use what you can. Improve what you can. Let go of the things you can't change.

I don't tend to participate too much. I'm aware that voices like mine in this world are pretty well represented. I also have to listen to my thoughts all the time. I'm tired of hearing voices like mine so I can only imagine most others are, too!

There are a lot of smart, empathetic, observant people in this thread. I appreciate all the thoughts I get to hear that start from outside of my own head. Things that I'm often spending some time in thought about or considering or stirring around in my own head often pop up in this thread. There are plenty of times I've had a specific thought and I later see it brought up and discussed (even though sometimes those discussions devolve into shitstorms). I appreciate the variety of voices I'm privy to hearing in real time (reading in chronological order) because of this thread.

In the end, these discussions are overall good and arc the world towards justice. That's important. I check in when I can but I'm definitely not able to keep up with all of the sketchy shit people are doing out in the world so I appreciate that the interests I have are well represented and collected in this corner of the site.

The fact that he uses "misunderstood" in his reply is basically admitting that events happened, but "not like that". If an event is fake and non-existent it can't be misunderstood because there's nothing to misunderstand.
