I definitely remember hearing about that back walking stuff back in the early AP days. Creeped me out then, creeps me out now.

 

Nothing ever came of it, likely due to DTR shutting down and him losing access to that platform (and thus access to backwalkers)

 

It was enough of a widespread joke for it to end up in that AP.net Hitler meme video. And the Reines were notoriously ruthless with their artists.

 

Speaking of Drive-Thru Records, remember The Stellar Life? Remember when AP didn't like the song, so the band sent over a picture with them holding middle fingers to the community? Yeah. They didn't last long. They only released one forgettable EP.

 

I’ve heard way too many horror stories about Drive-Thru. I’m glad they’re not a thing anymore. I only thank them for introducing me to great bands, that they completely took advantage of and fucked over. Those bands deserved better.
