There is plenty to be said about Miley in this thread but none of it has to do with her sexuality. McYikes.

Important note: Miley announced that she is non-binary a few years ago. I couldn't find anything on preferred pronouns, but she RTs stuff with "she/her" pronouns so I'm making an educated guess. Pointing this out because she was called a woman, and she isn't one. (You can be a non-binary woman, but that's not the case here unless I missed something. Very possible.)

 

As a Brit, that whole "British culture would never sexualise a female" is the most bullshit statement.

I recently came across a scientific study about the British sexualisation of women in the workplace, and I have a hunch that cannot be blamed on Miley Cyrus.

There's a certain subset of men who use violence or the threat of it to control women and reject any accountability for their behavior. Those men have been flooding every comment section on every social media post about Tory. We really, really don't need to repost their comments on Chorus. That stuff isn't tolerated by this community for a reason, and that's the whole reason I'm on here, so how about next time we see that stuff, we give it all the attention it deserves -- zero.

 

I only posted it because it was completely absurd and I genuinely am shocked that someone posted that and went about their day. I agree with you but at the same time, we have to point this shit out as a community as ugly as it is.
