How much do you wanna bet that everyone is going to ignore this and when this album comes out pinegrove will be back on the tours with all their woke friends like nothing happened?

    Trusted

I think there's a next to 0% chance that happens honestly

  3. no chance they just casually walk back into the scene.

I would be floored if that was the case.

I mean that’s definitely not going to happen. If people are reacting this strongly to Nandi’s comments, the backlash if/when PG comes back will be deafening.

depends on who you think are their "friends"? people like petal and adult mom and philly people, no chance.

I'd love to think that but, for example, they're still very close to people like Petal, or Kevin Devine. The backlash clearly isn't universal and there will be a lot of "forgive and forget" in the next few days and when the record comes out. Just because a portion of the Philly scene won't accept this doesn't mean others won't.

    Let it run Supporter

I mean we have people in this thread explicitly saying that the band is going against the victim's wishes. I'd say it's pretty hard to ignore if that is public knowledge.

    EDIT:
Not that this site equates to the entire fanbase, but I'd say that's enough to stifle discussion on here.

Yeah, but that's, again, just a part of the Philly scene (big props to them don't let the bastards win). I don't expect any backlash from other parts of scene at all. Pinegrove and HW still have a lot of buddies and probably still will have them after this. Yall can tell me "I told you so" if it doesn't happen but I will be 0% shocked if it does, just like I am 0% shocked this is happening

still very much stayed buddies with Half Waif tho but again, maybe she didn't know Nandi & co were still supporting Evan. Kiley's great, I love her, and I hope she stops collab'ing with them. I know I sound like a right asshole and that's because I am one

I saw a ton of music people really angry at Evan when he made his statement. Like a lot. Josh Coll said "we all know what you did."

well yeah, there was absolutely zero reason to blame nandi at all. i have been very highly anticipating the half waif album. as i said, my only problem with her now is that she's publicly throwing support in a way that minimizes what he did. it definitely irritates me.

I mean I think the Phoebe Bridgers incident showed a lot of people also don't give a shit.

okay fair. I can't plaster my own intuitions/specs on someone else's judgement.

  15. There’s a lotttttt of fans and people in general mad about that article

jesus, i don't know why we keep blaming women who don't actually throw public support behind people they are in business with.

phoebe isn't so involved with this scene that she knows every bit of what's going on, the tour was in flux, the band could have made a statement to clear things up before then. she had literally no responsibility to do anything in my eyes.

Pretty sure everyone mad at Phoebe has no idea the logistics of booking/cancelling yours, especially overseas tours, but maybe that’s just me

she made a post about the tour when it was still up in flux, and as i said, she doesn't know the details. when it was cancelled, it was cancelled. phoebe knew nothing.

not before she openly promoted it? What's your point.
