I draw the line at taking bands with abusers in them out on tour or bands supporting those with abusers in them and I really hope the whole Fireworks association with Corrigan doesn't continue now they're back. People change in the sort of time that's passed since Fireworks broke up and reformed so I guess we'll have to see what happens with them, but for now I'm not comfortable supporting them.

 

It wasn't Harry that they were connected to, it was JJR. But yeah I agree otherwise. Helping financially benefit someone like JJR is definitely a line that there's no excuse for crossing.

 

There was an unconfirmed story about how Harry was welcome as a "guest of honor" at a Long Island show after all of the JJR stuff went down, but I was never able to confirm that they actually said that or if someone just saw Harry hanging around their merch table or something.

 

Oh I get those two mixed up all the time because of how their names are interconnected but thanks for the clarification.

 

Yeah I mean with something like that he could've been hanging around with JJR at their merch table, he certainly would've welcomed Harry as a guest of honor.

 

Who does JJR work for/with now by the way, just so I can keep track? I know the Wonder Years cut ties with him (at least on a professional level), and he's in the band Keep Flying, but is there anyone else involved? Them being brought out on tour by anyone fucking sucks and I really wish the likes of Real Friends would practice what they preach.

 

I know he still has a professional relationship with Four Year Strong. May even still be their TM

 

Not familiar with his involvement with KP. What is it?

 

For a while he had a list of the bands he was working for on Facebook, but it isn't there anymore. I think they were on that list at some point.

Also the band Light Years was on that list now that I think about it.

 

He’s still close with KP. Don’t think he’s involved with the band anymore though.

 

He’s still close with members of TWY too. I remember, after they finally kicked him out in 2015, Nick would post pictures of them hanging out together for a couple years.

Feel free to do with this information what you will, but I’m willing to bet that any band/artist that has worked with him before is still buddy-buddy with him, even if it’s not on a professional level.

 

In amongst all the other heinous shit Dr. Luke has done, there's a case to be made for him ripping off a Saint Pepsi song (now known as Skylar Spence), or at least I hear it.

 

Imagine knowing everything that is publicly known about Dr. Luke and still believing that "assault allegations ruin men's careers"

 

He ripped off the melody of a Veronicas song for a Pink song and she almost punched him in the face when she found out

 

Dave posted chummy photos with JJR recently on his story and it grossed me tf out. I even did the mental gymnastics of "well, he's basically a private person at this point with both his bands inactive so how mad can I get at friends?" but it has remained really upsetting to me. (I am too lazy to change my ava)

I can’t even count the amount of bands that have their hands dirty with the jjr/hc shit. Turnover, Greyscale, Prounoun, Modern Baseball. Plus the usual suspects

 

How are those bands connected to him?

 

Turnover and MOBO all interacted with/posted pictures with Harry Corrigan after the situation on FB/Instagram/Twitter. Pronoun is touring with JJR currently. Greyscale is linked up with JJR as well.

 

JJR is a piece of shit for covering up the rape, yes, but I vaguely remember hearing a while back that Harry Corrigan, the actual rapist, is in a new band. Is that true? Does anyone know if he is up to anything?

 

He’s in a band called Regulate. And still actively tours + is on most hardcore festivals.

 

He's in Regulate and a few other bands. Still tours. This year he played in the TIHC fest in Philly that Saves the Day headlined.

 

I vaguely remember someone saying that Harry came up to the MoBo guys and pressured them for a pic or something like that, but I never bought into it. Believe Turnover has since deleted those pics as well, but it was way after the situation happened. No excuses there.

 

That, and I know everyone has information at their fingertips these days, but I am inclined to believe they just don't know about the situation at all, considering they are a relatively new artist.

 

I would agree that the onus is on the headliner to keep abusers off their lineup and that smaller bands can't always afford to quit tours on principle. Real Friends has made it their brand to be "woke" the past few years after their own controversy using slurs on twitter, so it's extra disappointing from them.
