I didn’t even hear that they responded. I can’t believe it got so swept under the rug. Well I mean, I can.... but WOW. Even worse than I could have thought. Yikes. Backstreet boy bye indeed lmao ughhhhh

This is where I'm at. They were THE band. They were my first album. I would make up choreo to their music in my bedroom lol. If I ever got married it was a legit condition that if I had a bridal party they'd have to learn and perform the Everybody breakdown choreo for the reception.

And tbh it was more conflicting to let down a friend, even tho she should've known after I told her no. I had always wanted to see bsb but I'm fine not seeing them. I'll survive lol. I felt weird feeling obligated to go because a friend spent her limited money purchasing me a ticket and even tho it was disregarding my feelings, she did it because she knows I love bsb and boybands and thought I would have fun going with her and her foster kid, espesh cause one of our first bonding moments with her kid was over bsb. I'm the worst kind of people pleaser lmao so it's hard for me to turn people down! I would never buy a ticket on my own but I was like ahhh this is a weird sitch! But luckily it being on a Tuesday gives me another excuse to be passive and tell her no lol

Did I miss a post? Was it vidiviciveni? I blocked them because they're a truly an insensitive prick.

Do whatever feels right! It seems that you very clearly set this boundary and your friend broke it.

  9. And yet, I somehow feel like that's still relevant to accountability in music. Just, in a very different context.

  18. It's a relatively benign fetish, but decidedly stops being benign when he's seeking the photos out and posting them from girls that young. So messed up.

yeah it was more him using his social media account to get random women to do fulfill his fetish than the fetish itself

Is there a video or written account of what he said?

I went to high school with him and we’re FB friends so this one is ridiculously close to home.

Edit: found a video of it by digging through the replies on that tweet

Was thinking about how some musicians are immediately cancelled/taken down upon news of them being in asshole/abuser in some way whereas others get a pass for whatever reason. Why is it that someone like Jesse Lacey or Lou Diamond (Jack) get taken down right away (not saying they shouldn’t, they absolutely should) but others such as Pete Wentz are not. Is it that the situation with Pete was not as publicized?

Has the woman in the situation with Pete Wentz ever spoken out?

the woman in the Pete Wentz situation wants to be left alone and not have her story weaponized against him

I feel like it’s been discussed in this thread at least three times and it’s the same thing every time, you’re going against the victims wishes trying to bring it up
