was hoping this would be some weird misunderstanding of thinking their dates from last november were from this year as that camp seems to do time to time but this seems to be something new. hoping itll just come to be these assholes using too much tinfoil again because it wouldnt be the first time in the past 18 or however many years but im already upset at the thought. like its put enough stress, obviously on a lot of people, but especially the victims. if you cant stop being a shitty person you can at least give them the basic respect to not have your name in the news for a while, which almost every story will bring up the abuse and can set back their recovery. also if this turns out to be true, id LOVE to hear from the "allegations ruin mens careers :(" camp

anyway, sorry for that rant. ive been nervous about this possibility for a while and its an upsetting subject. urgh.

 

Yeah normally I wouldn’t post about something that isn’t confirmed yet but considering the situation just the thought of it is really upsetting. I am so ready for them to be gone forever and thought that was the case. I really don’t want to deal with another entire news cycle about them.

 

Just stop and make it easier on ... everyone.

Men have.... endless self-confidence and audacity so why not. But I think it's 100% not happening, honestly not concerned.

 

They should never play again and we, as well as anyone else who actually give a shit about the victims of abuse, should all collectively do everything we can to make sure they don't.

If there is a show announcement we need to start planning a strategy to make it not happen.

 

I'm sure there would be differing views on tactics if they announce a show/tour, but I would personally be willing to put in some time & $$ to help put together something similar to the 'protest party' near Morrissey's (now canceled) upcoming Manchester, UK show.

Now he is playing drums for Handguns on their UK tour. I imagine they don’t know about this so I feel like this should be posted.

I know with Pink and Avril he stole the melody of a Veronicas song for U And Ur Hand and according to Butch Walker she I think it was almost punched him at a party for that, and with Avril Butch had cleared a sample of Mickey by Toni Basil for Girlfriend and then Dr Luke ripped off another song without getting clearance

 

I like how he could apologize and say "sorry I've been a shitty person online recently I'm going to try to be better" and this would all blow over but instead he's digging himself further into a hole, Nick's Twitter meltdown this morning is really something to behold

 

It is extremely embarrassing I couldn't even read it all the way, and then he tries to make us believe he's not completely entitled and only cares about himself. If he truly realised and was working on "his issues" (ps transphobia isn't an "issue") he wouldn't be peeping a word but instead there he is, whining and demanding everybody's attention or else!

I could've sworn there was a time when Nick had their twitter privileges taken away, I think after dropping out of the Moose Blood tour? It's just interesting that they have such free reign over the socials because it's like there's no filter at all to what they're saying.

Personally, I did an interview with them about a year and a half ago that got scrapped because there was so much profanity and some extremely inappropriate things that Nick said. Post-transcription it was really uncomfortable to read. The band (and appropriate people associated with them at the time) had a copy of the transcript because I wanted to double check on what could/could not be published because Nick would say something and then say something along the lines of "Oh yeah go ahead and keep this on the record" or "don't publish this until I talk to the right people." At their request after reading the transcription, I tried to "spin" it to make it into a feature that didn't look so negatively on the band, but when I took out everything negative there really wasn't enough material to make it into a feature. I will not release the transcript or audio, which I still have. Ethically, it just doesn't seem like the right thing to do.
