Maybe idk enough about the industry but I was confused because if I understand correctly the court determined baldwins role as a producer wasn't relevant and I feel like it was? Like he wasn't just an actor. I'd presume he had more responsibility for crew safety as a producer but I'm also def open to being wrong because idk how the behind the scenes stuff works. It seemed like a highly unprofessional set at best

 

From what I understand, if an actor ends up being credited as a producer it’s more or less in regards to them being involved in the creative process/direction of the film, show, etc. It doesn’t necessarily mean they’re involved with the logistically stuff.

I was always taught that producer credits are usually given to someone who funds the project.

 

"Producer" encompasses so much but I can practically guarantee you Alec Baldwin is not doing a producers full job, he's just getting a producers credit
