I will never get over the amount of people who said with complete sincerity that a comedian making a ridiculous and offensive request as if it’s a joke and another comedian responding with a sarcastic yes to go along with the joke was consent like you can be gotcha’d into it.

Seems like such an easy decision to just not release that movie through Fathom. Glad ERW called it out. What are you doing Fathom

That’s awful. Don’t understand why a story that’s already so newsworthy needs to be sensationalized in a headline like that, though — the article says it was a toy poodle.

Toy Poodle is an actual breed of dog, not a fake poodle toy.

This is not at all funny and completely unnecessary.

  10. Having interacted with @TedSchmosby in the past, I really don't think they were joking (as I was also unaware of that breed of dog)

The wording really read like a terrible punchline to me, but I hope you’re right. Of course the article already mentioned harming her pets and specifically called that attack an injury, so it was clear in context even if you don’t know the breed. Such an appalling thing to do.

Ok but like....if it was actually a "toy" poodle why would that have been included in the headline?

There’s no real point getting into it more since it was either a gross joke or a complete misunderstanding.

I didn’t know the guy by name but apparently he was in the Sabrina remake so I guess I have heard of him at least vaguely. I’m just really stunned by everything mentioned.

Lmao, that makes a lot more sense. I figured it was in the article because it was a toy she loved and he was using that to get to her, but I couldn’t understand why that was in the headline when it mentions immediately after that he killed her actual cat. I understand now that it’s not a misleading headline at all — apologies to anyone who thought I was making light of the situation

If your post hadn’t been written perfectly to the beat of every insensitive joke in history I would have given you the benefit of the doubt, lol.

    CBS is so gross

Two female writers have quit the show “Carol’s Second Act” starring actress Patricia Heaton over how CBS handled alleged harassment complaints against Heaton’s husband David Hunt. He is also the executive producer of the show.

The New York Times reports that in September, 25-year-old Broti Gupta, a writer on “Carol’s Second Act,” made a formal complaint against Hunt. She claims that she was later penalized and eventually felt no choice but to leave the network.

A month later, Margee Magee, a 43-year-old writer and executive producer left after reporting concerns about Gupta’s treatment after the complaint. CBS told the New York Times that they had dealt with the complaints fairly and that Hunt, who is still at the , had “cooperated fully with the process.”

I know one of the directors years ago mentioned a super high up individual pressuring him to include more graphic sex and nudity, claiming to speak for the “pervert’s point of view” or something like that. I’m pretty sure there were other examples that have been talked about before as well, but not necessarily confirmed by the cast. Good for her for speaking out.

EDIT: And that quote about feeling like, “Oh, well if it’s in the script then it must be needed,” isn’t necessarily about once incident but is such a huge issue as well, and often exacerbated by the fans. SO many times people excuse objectifying content as being “art” and shut down any criticism as just “not understanding” and refuse to admit that the people in charge are sometimes actually just creeps.

Yeah I remember hearing about HBO execs pressuring the show to be more explicit with the sex and nudity. Just horrific.

I think this was the exact quote, actually, it definitely sounds really familiar.
