Thanks everyone. all the shit happening in my life since I quit my ex two months ago encouraged me to do LOTS of coming out : sexually, politically, like in everything. I'm proud of myself more than ever now that I'm finally speaking up after nearly 22 years of silence. lots of ambitious projects, things I've put in motion in like 2003 for the oldest, are coming to fruition. I want to post for the first time a song of my own. i don't know when, i don't know where but i'll do it. it's written through a program similar to Guitar Pro and instrumental as of yet. i don't have a RIYL for you because my tastes are all over the place, and I write everything ranging from post-hardcore, post r'n'b, prog metal, to deep house, math rock, emo, alt rock, trip-hop, power pop, etc. and always mix all these styles in my stuff due to my biggest influences, and because I hate barriers and want to break every single boundaries musically.

 

like, it'd sound absurd for music snobs but i don't want to sing in it and would prefer a woman to do it instead. i don't really know if that makes me sound sexist, does it ? i simply want to make my music scene, at least, a safer place and i feel like a frontwoman could inspire so many people and especialy girls and women. if i have to take a backseat i don't even care because we have too many male bands over here putting out the same shit over and over again. i want to make the most groovy, dancey, heavy, loud, politically charged, diverse, realist but hopeful, sarcastic, .... , music ever. i feel like i'm speaking like Kanye West but to be fair I get him more than before. you have to be a little narcissistic to be able to deliver the best you can in any forms of art.

first thing i had in mind the first time i touched my guitar after breaking up with my ex : "i want to release a triple album on April 1st"
... well life happened but i'm still working on it.

one's a very dark, noisy, aggressive, in-your-face kind of record that is like the hardest shit i ever played, not that it's that technical but there are so many twists and turns. Protest The Hero, TDEP, and all of my favorite screamo, post-hardcore and metal bands are my biggest influences on this one.

the second is the extreme opposite and surprise it's basically a club album with Charli XCX, Grimes, Tinashe, Britney, pretty much everyone I'm listening to in electronic music, in mind as my inspirations for it.

then the third one is the weird one, where I mix every single style I can to make something I'm pretty sure I never heard anyone else attempt, and it's of course the one I'll be the most proud of because it's so challenging for me as a songwriter, and I never thought I had something like that in me. my influences ? pretty much everything really, even the most out there artists.

so yep, i have +70 songs in works. some of them I started writing when I was 10 in 2005, then they got parts added to them over the last 12 years. i'm so lucky to be able to write music at all times, no matter what i do thanks to my gifted ears I guess ? like i can hear one song and instantly cover it on my guitar, and i don't even know how ???? my 5 first years as a guitarist, I never played because due to my social phobia I would hide myself and do some riffs like once a week for 30 min then put it to bed once I heard my brother or my parents come near to my bedroom. i can pick up any instruments now and do the same, like w t f ? it's weird. i'm so weird lol but i'm not complaining, i just find that amusing you know ?



shit tl;dr i should go back to sleep but i'm so excited because my whole life is just getting started aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh

 

i appreciate that so much. my life will get better and the immense amount of support i get on a day to day basis is so empowering.

I love Thursday so much, and they sounded as incredible as ever. I really hope they keep going, because there are very few bands that have had this big of an impact on me.

Will forever bum me out that most the crowd at the show didn't care about material from ACBTLD and on.

 

Fun fact, the first time I met Jake in person was at a Thursday show. I had his ticket.

 

Man, I kinda miss the STL kids sometimes. They all left and I'm the only one still here, kinda depressing when you think about it. Actually, I don't miss Evan. Fuck Evan. You don't tell someone who tried to commit suicide that they did it for attention because you're mad that your precious The Wonder Years thread was invaded by outsiders.

Like what really grinded my gears about him is that he never really apologized for being a fucking dick to me like that. Hell, I asked Jake Denning to unban him after that remark because I didn't agree with that and yet, no apology or thank you. Dude can just pretend he's a cool guy in Chicago for all I care, he still sucks as a person.

Like I'm largely over it, it was years ago and he and I went on our own life paths after that. A small part still holds a grudge because Evan was a good kid when he wanted to be and I had some great times with the STL crew at shows. It killed me to be told that after I had a breakdown in the STL thread before I attempted to take my life and he knew how much I was hurting before and after that. The lack of compassion there says more about him than any other action could.

 

Oh well, that is life. Both of my MLB teams lost tonight, cue Baker Street please.

 

I'm on the "Secret Episode" of Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. Once I finish that, I can either finish Wolfenstein: The New Order, pick back up on FFX, or start another game
