I ONLY see weekday mantinees (I can see any movie for free any time I want and I still won’t go to a night/weekend movie) but old people are just as bad. I just hate theaters.

It really depends on the theater, imo. The one I work at it awful so if I don’t screen something early, then I won’t see it here. For smaller independent movies I go to this art house theater and have never had an issue. But yeah, the general theater experience is awful. I don’t understand why people are so terrible at seeing movies lol

Ever since I saw The Witch on a friday night with a bunch of teenagers ive vowed only to see horror movies in the middle of the day. That was a shitshow. Also a testament to how great the movie was cuz i still loved it.

100% with 48 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Really looking forward to this.

Edit: 98% with 102. Not that RT matters, but the buzz is real!

I can't wait to see this. Going to go next week on a weeknight, hoping to lessen the amount of people in the theater.

I should have worn a diaper. Shat myself many times.

This was fantastic. Edge of your seat basically the whole time.

I would highly advise seeing this in as empty of a theater as you can. Mine was about half full but every little sound people made brought me out of the experience.

I was wondering how a movie like this could end and if it'd be botched but I loved the way it ended

can't say enough good things about this. there are a few little plot holes sprinkled throughout but that's to be expected with a movie like this and I was able to suspend my disbelief. I wasn't ever really bored with it, it held my attention the entire time, and that's more than I can say for a lot of movies. it was gripping, action-packed, terrifying, and touching. go see it!

I saw it this morning by myself in a completely empty theater. Best viewing experience ever.

I loved the ending. The last shot had me like

I am in love with the Spielberg influence in this movie. I did not expect that. Several moments felt like watching Jurassic Park. Krasinski did an amazing job. So impressed.

I loved this. I thought it was surprisingly gorgeous and I cried twice (though I am super emotional lately). There were a few scenes that are so good I can see them becoming iconic.

Whole cast is great but Emily Blunt is next level.

I also loved the score and can see this at least getting Oscar buzz for sound editing (how could it not?).

Downside: we sat next to the loudest people in the whole theater. They had no respect at all. I almost shh’d them which would have been appropriate, but I thought they might get louder. Next time, I’m doing a matinee.

This was great. But agree with everyone else, try to see it in an empty silent theater.
