This tour looks great. I am excited for new music from ADTR and TSSF. It is surprising that ADTR didn't release the album along with the tour.

Will “Paul Revere’s Midnight Ride” and “2nd Sucks” be on the setlists :eyeglass:

What's the significance of those two songs in this context?

Pretty sweet lineup. Some interesting stops on this tour. Cool they are hitting some smaller markets but weird no NYC or Florida especially since they write half their songs about Florida.

With three opening bands, it's the perfect case for leaving before the headliner.

The fact they're starting the tour there means the promoter probably offered a CRAZY guarantee to get them to play there. The first and last dates of a tour are usually the first to be booked, so they could've chosen any date and any venue in the Twin Cities if they wanted to start their tour here. There was definitely an incentive to have it out there.

That venue (The Ledge) is run by a Kansas City company called New West Presentations, who opened it up about 2 years ago. Minneapolis didn't have a Live Nation Amphitheater, so I'm sure building an amphitheater by St. Cloud seemed like a good tourism opportunity for the region.

However, it's been plagued by the fact that:
-Live Nation bought the Somerset Amphitheater that same year, a much bigger venue that's closer to the cities.
-The Armory has been hosting amphitheater tours indoors for years now with no problems and is about the same size as the Ledge.
-People who live in central Minnesota are dorks who listen to dork-ass music.

So most tours they book are acts too uncool to play at The Armory, but not big enough anywhere larger. I think they've had The Mike Love version of "The Beach Boys" play there a couple times, as well as Jason Mraz, 311, and tons of no-name country bros. I wouldn't be surprised if it's struggling, and they're begging bigger acts to play there.
