I used to play NPFK on my radio show all the time - loved it.

 

This afternoon, Fred Mascherino is interviewing the singer of The Lemonheads. Stoked for that.

 

I haven't thought about The Lemonheads in years, such a throwback.

 

Story about Evan Dando recently, he lost his wallet in Walgreens, someone turned it in, and he played a song for them. Thats nice. He seems to be a nice guy.

 

listening to GBV for the first time. good songs imo

 

GBV is just yummy. Robert Pollard is super. I could listen to Motor Away over and over....

 

I used to live in Dayton, and would see Bob Pollard around a lot. Interesting dude. Love this band.

 

yeah this album has me pretty shook. incredible.

 

I had to youtube, but they played on Jon Stewart in 1995.... sweetness

There’s something i love about “we have the hook, fuck the rest of the song” especially when you write the best goddamn hooks. Also, a 30 year old kindergarten teacher being like “you know what? I’m a British Invasion-era rock star now.” I’d highly recommend seeing this band live in Dayton, Ohio. 45 year olds cry the whole set lol

 

i was gonna say haha. a lot of this sounds like “what if paul mccartney was born in the 70s instead of breaking up his band in the 70s”
