so my guy offered up vape cartridges for the first time so I figured I'd try one out

my plan is to just go to a headshop to get the pen battery. I'll ask whomever's working there, but is there anything to know specifically? Some brands better than others? etc

 

Pax is really good. Unfortunately it might only be in certain states (can't find one in Canada) but I know for a fact that Colorado and Nevada at the very least have it.

 

Is it a 510 cart like with the threads on the end that you screw in?

Avoid G Pens. With cheaper batteries sometimes the heating coils flake off so you're vaping more than just oil :/ I have an ego-T that's served me well for years now. Also Pax has its own propietary pods so you'd need a separate battery, pretty sure

It looks like an ego-t is only $12 online, so I'm guessing I'm probably good w my $25 one? It has a little dial on the bottom and I have it turned to 3.2V

I did just notice a hole in the top stem of my coil, dead center, which I've never seen before.. dunno if that could have somehow burnt a hole in it?

 

Regarding that, this is what my coil looks like. Anyone ever have this happen to them? I wish I knew if it was there when I got it.

I've had multiple from this brand before and none of them had this. It also seemed super clogged until the oil level went below it, and it leaked a bit in my bag when I first got it.

Heh yeah I don't know how sketched out I should be about hitting it. Id hate for it to go to waste and I've tried pouring oil out of one cartridge into another in the past and can never get it out successfully.
