Also LA28 will include debuts of Lacrosse, Squash, and Cricket too. Baseball/Softball make their return.

Why no breaking?

 

How it works now is each Olympics the home country gets to choose some temporary sports just for those games. This year it was Breaking. LA opted not to keep it.

It is why they had baseball in Tokyo but not Paris. Skateboarding, Climbing, and Surfing started as temporary sports in Tokyo but they got elevated to permanent this year.
