To be fair, the kid has done 44 seconds in the 400m before, so something was for sure off in his pace to only do a 47 second split. Maybe he was just crazy nervous and didn't prep right before the race (or get any sleep the night before), which resulted in his poor performance. In any case, he still has a crazy bright future
