Obvious answer is bring back early 2000s baseball.

 

As talented as Shohei is, your first pitching appearance in over a year coming in the WS would be the worst idea and I'm embarrassed anybody even asked about it

 

i'd love to see it if only to surpass Kyle Schwarber returning to do damage in the 2016 World Series after tearing his ACL in like the first week of the season

one of the coolest things i've ever seen. i remember when rumblings were afoot of Schwarber possibly returning, then he took some ABs in the Arizona Fall League or something, then came back and went 7-17 with some big hits, worked great at bats, etc etc

 

Steve Pearce is the most random shit in sports history lol

 

Could have/should have just as easily been David Price. Pearce went off in Games 4 and 5 but Price pitched 3 times in the WS and getting 2 wins with a sub 2 ERA.
