Tua & Hurts made great leaps when their teams gave them top end WR talent (both through the draft and trades) but seem a bit scheme-dependent

Love has had 1 good year, but with seemingly inferior talent, plenty of reason to be optimistic you never know

Burrow was very lucky to end up with Chase and Tee Higgins, he's the only one to have beaten Mahomes in the playoffs

Herbert has reasons to doubt him but idk man have you seen that guy throw a football? hot damn

 

I find Herbert criticisms to be mostly valid and interesting right up until it becomes obvious they're simply masking "I like another QB more and ESPN doesn't talk about them enough" lol

Surely Herbert’s performance this season will be viewed in the context of actually watching the games and considering the supporting cast and coaching staff around him, not just looking at his pro football reference page

I can be a hater all I want about his personality (I've actually grown to like him more lately) but he's amazing at building a team and if Herbert can't win with him...that's the one

I just see it like, he did good with Stanford, then he won at lot with SF and got fired over a power struggle, then he won a lot with Michigan including just winning a national championship. If he took a break from winning I'd get it but it doesn't feel like he has

Not that I am making excuses for Herbert because I have zero stakes and would want him 100/100 times on the Patriots, but I feel like his situation has been fairly mediocre for his career

He was playing with an undeniable BOZO for a coach who it felt blew more games more often than not, putting Herbert in these 4th quarter ridiculous situations to try and pull a miracle outta his ass. Not all games, but a bunch of them. Obviously he came up short himself too

His supporting cast was Mike Williams & Keenan Allen on paper, but how many games did they all play together when all 3 were healthy?

He also has been hurt for like 2 years now

I still think he's great and can show it with a good coach and being healthy, but hard to keep him in top 5 until he shows it again.
