Meh, Ridley is still cuttable two years from now for Tennessee, and I think a lot of his mishaps with Trevor were rust & chemistry related. My gut feeling is that another offseason to develop timing and communication coulda helped them be really productive for those two years and then you still replace him when he declines. I was ok with re-signing Ridley to avoid making WR a much bigger need in the draft. But here we are

Thats a lot of money to a guy who failed to do what Zay Jones managed to do. If he had the chemistry then by all means I guess but a 2/48 deal to a 30 year old who doesn't have chemistry with the QB? naaaaah.

But tbh y’all can laugh all you want if you think we “overpaid” Lawrence. That’s fine. It’s never ideal how much a QB costs but I’ll still think he’s made of the right stuff, I’ll still think that the shitty offense and play calling around him years 1-3 is the main reason he’s struggled, and I’ll still be glad we locked him down.

Regardless if he reaches his ceiling of being a top 5 QB or remains in the 11-15 range… I’d 10,000,000% rather have Trevor than go back to trying to draft a QB again, he’s not Bortles.
