Bad communication by me, my fault everybody.

what I should’ve simply said was “eh, I can’t enjoy an HOA pool the way I’d want to anyway” and left it at that

 

For me swimming is playtime not always quiet relax time lol so yes I do like to have a joint & maybe a beer or two, if it’s a non crowded beach maybe some music playing or my guitar with me, I like to be able to jump in and be all splashy and goof around with my friends etc. Not compatible with an HOA pool where residents would be bothered by all of that and many would be unable to simply coexist without reporting it as a nuisance

 

my hotel is in center city so ideally trying to plot a route that takes me to 4 or 5 places south of there on my way down to the stadiums.

 

completely out of the way for you but Lloyds in fishtown, the interstate in fish town (get the fishtown iced tea), tattooed mom on south street, brauhaus Schmitz on south street, khyber pass pub in old city, good dog bar near monks, McGillans in center city(not a big fan but it’s been open since 1860)

Hot take Philly food and Philly beer ain’t that great. Someone change my mind and take me somewhere awesome next time I visit.

Philly art, music, and city culture more than make up for it. But I’ve never been that impressed with anything I’ve eaten or drank there aside from like a cheesesteak

was I UNHAPPY with the food/beer, no, I’ll literally eat two 7-11 hot dogs or some shit for lunch and be fine. It’s hard to mess up a burger or some wings or whatever I’ll always enjoy it and be glad I’m eating it. But nothing’s really stood out
