I found out the Saturday I’m in Houston which we aren’t doing anything that night is the same night Zach Bryan is playing there

I don't have the extra PTO to do that, I took 4 days off last week 3 days this week and have 3 days off next week for Chicago

 

My PTO is also accrued over time so I don't get the full amount at the beginning of the year

 

When this month ends, I will have only worked 10 days and I'll still end up losing a day of vacation because I can only roll over 35 hours and can't take off in August. First time this has ever happened

 

I have a bunch of time off planned in August, so naturally my work just laid off like 90% of my department and wants me to train 30 new people from Costa Rica during all my time off.

damn I got like 51 minutes

 

this was me in June since our fiscal year starts up July 1. I took off from basically the 12th through the end of the month and still lost like four days for the year. LAME.

 

its weird for me. i technically accrue PTO as well but, they let you borrow from future PTO, so like if i want to take a week off in february i'll have a negative PTO balance until like april when it evens out. as long as you're not in the negative on Dec 31st they don't really care, and you can roll over up to 40 hours as well.

 

The worst part for me is my year doesn't end until Sept. 1, but no one is allowed to take off in August (or January), which doesn't even make sense anymore because we are not nearly as busy as we used to be during those months

 

I simply sometimes don’t put in PTO and take off anyway
