I just learned that I’ve had the wrong understanding of what a wasp vs. Yellowjacket was.

I thought the yellow and striped ones were Yellowjacket’s.
I always called the brown ones (which we had a lot around us where I grew up) wasps.

Apparently they are both kinds of wasps. But some wasps are yellowjackets.
