in honor of the thread, I started the group chat by talking about Fred Taylor’s HOF candidacy

the group chat includes someone from Florida, Maryland, and Colorado.

 

thought the rogan joke was pretty good and something someone’s been needing to say in a special for a while but seemed scared to do.

the norm bit was great too, as well as a few others scattered throughout. the cool depraved guy schtick has been offputting in some of his other hours but i thought this one was funnier than the last few and featured a bit more of a peak into who anthony actually is

 

Yeah I enjoyed it much more when he told actual stories like the Norm one.

 

When he went on Maron's podcast they went off about Rogan/comedians who follow him around, it was a good listen

 

Jeselnik special was very good. I liked it a lot, actually saw him when he was touring it last year.

He's been going in on rogan for a bit now on podcasts, been very refreshing to see.

 

My favorite part of the "do liberals need their own Joe Rogan" question is, the kind of person who'd have crossover appeal to younger men + get liberal votes is a dude like Jeselnik...and precisely because you can clip nearly any bit of his and misuse it, it'd be impossible for him to be that kind of dude. Shit, his entire vibe was to piss off the womens march types in 2017.

But I still remember him on Pete Holmes show, not long after he had stopped writing for Jimmy Fallon, showing how fast he could write like 5 monologue jokes in 30 seconds was wild. Just effortlessly funny.

honestly though I’m a little worried they’re going to make a knee-jerk decision and just hire him as head coach without a real, exhaustive search. It would be very Bears to do that, or to hire Marcus Freeman.
