The only thing the hospital cares about when they ship your baby off with you is that you have a car seat installed properly. And they didn’t even check ours lmao

absolutely wild how they just kick you out with your baby like it’s nothing

My favorite is the day nurses being really good, and the night nurse having basically never seen a baby before in her life. Our daughter was spitting up a lot and having trouble sleeping (and it turns out our dumb-asses werent burping her...), but the night nurse was basically like "lol, that sux". Day nurse came in the next day and walked us through best practice and got a good chuckle at our realization

I remember in 7th or 8th grade getting dismissed from school randomly by my dad who was getting some sort of neck injection.

I guess he was NOT allowed to drive post injection and needed a ride. So who did he call? 13 year old me, who never drove a car before.

From the entrance of the hospital the nurse waved to 13 year old me in the driver’s seat; and then I proceeded to drive out of the parking lot and to the grocery store plaza across the street where we swapped places and my dad drove post injection home. It was my first time ever driving a car

the good thing is that literally every single nurse we dealt with for our girls has been awesome. The girl that was on today sent us home with like 2 full bags of diapers, formula, etc lol it made it a lot easier having to leave them in the hospital every night for the past 2-3 weeks

 

Kevin, my dad, does not follow rules. He steals like 15 pairs of gloves every time I take him to the doctors
