Jimmy is a clown for quitting on the team but Riley kinda inadvertently caused all of this.

He never upgraded the team. They whiffed on every star they were reported to be in on. He shit on Jimmy to the media. Didn’t wanna pay him which is definitely reasonable with that price

 

Gonna be wild when Butler drops 40+ on the Heat on the 23rd

Dude has played for four teams and had either actively beefed with coaches/staff or forced his way out (sometimes both) on three of them. That’s one thing if you’re Lebron or top 5 in the league or whatever, but…him?

Has a player ever won an award when traded mid-season? Doubt it. Seems like a non-thing to me.

 

like an MVP? I think the only time that’s happened in all of the big four leagues is when Joe Thornton won NHL MVP after getting traded mid season

 

Yeah but it was probably intentional if he had any aspirations of that. If somehow he got one of the awards it would increase the contract he could sign.

Yeah absolutely. Just last year, Jimmy said he wanted to retire as a Heat player. It was also super shitty of Riley to call out Jimmy for not being available the second half of the season after his dad died. And then at least one instance Jimmy sat out a game for being sick but was at an F1 race the next day.

Both have done stupid shit and they need to move on from both.

 

As a Cavs fan, I’m bummed. I really wanted to see Kyrie play.

 

I'd like to see Butler go somewhere out west. Definitely don't want him in Philly or in the east.

 

It definitely seems likely he ends up in Houston/Dallas/GS or Phoenix.

It’s Pat though so you never know. Some shitty team could submit the best offer and he’ll take it.

Bradley fucking Beal doesn’t seem so great to add to your team.

 

New Orleans could be interesting, too. Ingram and McCollum's salaries match up pretty nicely with Jimmy and Rozier's.

Ingram's an expiring, too, and CJ only has one more year.

 

I really don’t think Miami takes Beal. They didn’t want him two offseasons ago because of the no-trade clause.

Maybe Beal could be in a multi-team deal but Miami won’t be the team taking him.

 

This would definitely be more likely imo.

Miami is also interested in Fox so that could be an option as well if they can get a multi-team trade done.

 

Don't know what Sacramento's doing but I could see a world where Jimmy goes to Phoenix, Fox goes to Miami, and Beal + a haul of picks go to the Kings.

Yep

He waived it for the trade to Phoenix but it’s still intact in his contract as far as I know.
