- Ohtani ($68 mill)
- Yamamoto ($45 mill)
- Hader ($33 mill)
- Snell ($38 mill)
- Bellinger ($35 mill)

Feel like the key ingredient here that a lot of people seem to be missing is that—if you believe the reporting that seems credible about who initiated the deferrals and why—this only happened because Ohtani believed the Dodgers would actually use the extra payroll space to be as competitive as possible. The fuckin Pirates could afford this deal with their current budget but I don’t think Ohtani would trust them to fill out the roster with the extra cash haha

 

Yamamoto is so a Dodger at this point that nobody else will bother to offer a contract and the Dodgers will still give him 40 mil a year bidding against nobody lol

 

Him owning a fifth of the team as a player isn’t ideal tho I’ll say that

 

Hell why not Chapman now, they don’t want muncy playing 3b for real for a whole season lol

and maybe it will keep them off of arenado a few more yrs
