Honestly yes. The mets, for years, among all their other shortcomings, have been *atrocious* with handling rain delays and field prep during times like this. Its embarrassing.

 

I would expect at some point today it will be announced that the mets forfeit the game. An absolute joke if not.

the only reason i think they might not make them do it is because it directly negatively impacts the Cubs. the mets could come back and win this game and keep the Cubs season alive.
