Same. I thought he did a good job for the most part. Sounds like him standing pat at the deadline only to see the team fall apart was his undoing.

Whoever is the next President/GM is going to be walking into a pretty good gig. Improved farm system, talent at the MLB level, owners might open up their checkbook this winter, etc.

I will say Casas and Bello need to be extended this offseason no matter who is the President/GM. Those two are must signings.

yeah the deadlines this and last year are where he rightfully should be blamed, but like you said, his successor will be in a good position.

their biggest area of need can be found in FA this year, and they can use their surplus in the outfield to improve elsewhere (I.e. a stopgap at 2B before Mayer is ready). Things will be fine

 

They need SPing badly, that was their biggest downfall this year. Can’t go into the season with so many question marks. Kennedy said the owners are willing to spend money let’s see them prove it.

Red Sox were apparently talking to the Yankees about sending Alex Verdugo to the Yankees for Clarke Schmidt at the trade deadline.
