This Sharks team might be the worst of the cap era.

it still amazes me how quickly they deteriorated in the past five years. Like we knew they’d decline eventually, but they lost that WCF and *instantly* turned into dogshit. Pavelski really was the MVP.

First week of November so the trend is if you're more than four points out of a playoff spot or you're under 500, very unlikely to make the playoffs. I guess the two most interesting finds are Edmonton and Pittsburgh near or at the bottom of their respective conferences. Arizona technically in a comfortable spot.

I thought so too but Elliotte and Lambert were mentioning the first week of November as a soft predictor. By American thanksgiving it's basically set and it's just jockeying for position.
