That seems like a bad deal for NJ

 

It's brutal. They hated Holtz for whatever reason. Drafted him to score goals and then they tried to turn him into a checking forward.

Schmid saved our asses last year in the playoffs but we are so overloaded with goalie prospects that's fine.

Overall I hate it though

 

the score gave the sharks an A+ for draft today and I am now delusional

Let’s wait and see how tomorrow goes first, but I’ve been prepared for next year to be a limbo/transition year for sure. Think we go after Stsmkos/Marchessault pretty hard.

Necas is definitely the x factor here, I don’t think we move on from him at this point with Guentzel moving on. There’s a good chance he goes to arbitration and gets a one year prove me deal, which means he’s got to go beast mode if he wants to get paid.

and Lindholm, both on brutal contracts

 

I can live with Lindholm because we have a desperate need at center but on the left side Lohrei will be ready for the top 4 in another year and I would much rather get a guy like Brendan Dillon who will be better and cheaper

I want this as well, but I also wonder what Steve's plan c or d would be if Stamkos and Marchessault sign elsewhere. Very intrigued by this whole situation, and hopefully Stamkos ends up in Detroit.
